Sonoma State Brings on James Craft As Offensive Coordinator

Rohnert Park, CA – Sonoma State Lacrosse welcomes former player and coach James Craft to the Sonoma State Coaching staff.  Coach Craft joins Head Coach Panchito Ojeda and former teammate and current Defensive Coordinator Steve Johnson.  Craft joins Sonoma State after successful stints as an assistant at Sonoma State from 2002-2005 and 2008-2010.

Coach Craft played at Sonoma State from 1994-1998. Coming in with a highly touted class, Coach Craft and Coach Johnson were freshman teammates under legendary coach John Hughes.  After graduation, he went into the software engineering field before coming back to assist in guiding the Seawolves to their National Championship run in 2002.  Once again in 2008, Coach Craft was able to come back and help guide the Seawolves to back to back appearances at the MCLA National Championships and two quarterfinal appearances.  He will be bringing a wealth of knowledge and a blue collar approach to the game this spring.

“Coach Craft joins Coach Johnson to round out a great staff.  Coach Johnson has already proven he is all about hard nosed lacrosse and Coach Craft comes from the same background.” stated Head Coach Panchito Ojeda.  “As we strive for a WCLL title and appearance at the National Tournament Coach Craft [& Johnson] will play a pivotal role in attaining success.”

Welcome aboard, again, Coach Craft!
